We require the deposit due to the fact that we then decline subsequent inquiries and potential clients/ income for that date once that date is reserved for your event. The date can not be reserved and there is no contractual obligation until such time that the deposit is received. We get many inquiries, and do not follow up to "remind clients to send their deposit. We understand that circumstances change and not everyone that inquires will be following up with a deposit.
What if it rains?
Living in the Pacific Northwest means rain. We and our ponies are used to working in the rain. If we deem the weather is harsh enough to cause unsafe conditions for riding, we will cancel and gladly refund your deposit. If our clients cancel and simply feel their guests will not want to enjoy the ponies in the rain, but conditions are not dangerous, the deposit will be forfeited.
Is my Deposit Transferable to another date?
We are not able to transfer your deposit to another date, as we have already subsequently declined events based on your booking. As with any reservation in the service industry, deposits are non refundable and for the date requested only. If a client wishes to change the date, and the date is available, we will require a seperate deposit for the new date for the reasons stated.
Can we drop in for a pony ride?
As this is a working Ranch, and residence, it is not possible for us to provide individual pony rides on a drop in or appointment basis at the Ranch. We realize however that not every child can or will request a pony party. Fortunately we travel to Christmas tree lots, pumpkin patches, and children's fairs for this very reason.
